A new generation of
marine engineering deformed aluminum alloy 5059 was developed by Corus Aluminum Company (now Aili Aluminum Company) in 1999 and registered with American Aluminum Association (AA), which is an excellent marine engineering aluminum. The alloy has been used to manufacture cruise ships and ships of up to 7,000 passengers, as well as 300kt LNG (liquefied natural gas) ship large storage tanks and shore-based storage tanks.
Compared with the traditional 5083 alloy, its impurity content of Si, Fe and Mn is slightly higher, the average content of Mg is 24% higher than that of the
5083 marine aluminum alloy, Zn is an impurity in the 5083 alloy, and it is a microalloying in the 5059 alloy. Element, 5059 alloy also contains 0.05% Zr ~ 0.25% Zr. Due to these differences in composition, the properties of the 5059 alloy are superior to those of the 5083 alloy. However, due to its high magnesium content, its pressure processing and forming properties are slightly inferior.
AA5059: Mg content is 5.0 to 6.0, Mn content is 0.6 to 1.2, Cr content is up to 〇. 3, Zn content is 0.4 to 0.9, Cu content is up to 0.4, Ti content is up to 0.2, and Fe content is up to 0.5, Si The highest content is 〇. 5, and the Zr content is 0.05 to 0.25. Among them, AA5059 alloy is also disclosed in US-6695935-B1, US-6238495-Bl, CN-101233252-A and CN-101631882-A patents.
